Renovated in 2012 Santa Fe Park is a three and a half-acre park located in the heart of one of Chillicothe’s most historic neighborhoods. This park is packed with features and train-themed décor. A list of offerings at Santa Fe Park includes 1/4 mile walking path, splash pad, pavilion, sledding hill, restroom facility, sandlot baseball diamond, thirty-foot tall twisty slide, and train engine playground. (Pavilion is available on a first-come/first-serve basis only)
There is still time to commemorate a family member or loved one who has been a part of the rich railroad history in Chillicothe. Bricks for the entryway of Santa Fe Park are being installed on a yearly basis. Download the application below or call the Chillicothe Park District Office at (309) 274-3409.
Santa Fe Park was donated to the city of Chillicothe by the Santa Fe Rail Corporation. The city of Chillicothe recently turned control of the park over to the Chillicothe Park District in the summer of 2008.
